Climate and Weather

The Costal Zone of Malaga and its climate

Very often called "The California of Europe", the Costa del Sol offers 300 days of sunshine per year with an average temperature exceeding 22ºC that makes it the most desirable place to live.

Hot summers

People are sunbathing every day from June to September. There is virtually no rain. The daily highs are around 35ºC and the nightly lows around 15ºC. Shirtsleeve weather all the time with the evenings included.

Mild winters

The winters are a mixture of beautiful clear, sunny winter days with overcast but warm days. Evenings are noticeably cooler. The first rains are late September or early October and can be heavy. This rarely lasts for more than a day or two. Daily highs are about 20 C and nightly lows rarely much below 10 C. You could be wearing a Pullover in the day and a jacket in the evening.
